Cirtex has been in the hosting business for almost ten years now and is among the best known brands in the business, with a philosophy that promises the very best in customer service and technical support coupled with aggressive pricing and attractive packages. The Cirtex way is to hand pick the very best staff available – not easy in an industry where the best are sought after – and to provide very sensible packages that cover a wide number of bases; from the basic starter package to the more impressive business packages there is much to like about Cirtex, and we see this as a good overall package.
Value For Money
The very cheapest Cirtex package is an extremely affordable, and aggressively posed, $2.99 a month, easily one of the cheapest we have seen on the market. Cheap does not always equate to good, however, and here you get 5000MB of storage space coupled with unlimited bandwidth per month, 25 email and FTP accounts and all the usual attributes expected of a simple basic hosting package. Is it a good deal? Compared with many others it ranks very well indeed, and with the professional plan – a comprehensive set up including 30000MB of disk space – costing $12.95 a month and an intermediate plan in the middle of the two prices we think this a good deal all round.
Reliability
The usual promises of reliability at 99.9% are here complete with the customer promise, the 30 day money back guarantee and the historical proof. It is all pretty standard – although acceptable – stuff that comes as part and parcel of a hosting package these days, and while nothing out of the ordinary we cannot fault it in any serious way. Customer testimony is good and the company has been around long enough to have built up a loyal base.
Customer Support
Cirtex offers 24 hour support as do most of its rivals, but does so with an interesting proviso; not only does it claim to have the best technical support in the business but it lays claim to solving even major problems within 15 minutes. While customer testimony is good this is a rather bold claim, but nevertheless the system appears to work.
Control Panel
Cirtex is another hosting company offering the use of the tried and tested, trusty and very powerful cPanel system, and as usual there is little to say other than that it works very well indeed. Access to all areas of the admin section is easy and familiar, and there is little that could be done to improve a very neat control panel.
Environment
Like many of its contemporaries Cirtex makes no specific claims to environmentally friendly operating but its use of well thought out equipment, modern up to the minute data centres and a forward thinking philosophy imbue into the company a sense of understanding of what the future requires in terms of green technology.
