DailyRazor is an established hosting company offering a range of services for small and medium sized business users from servers housed in a pair of up to date and technologically advanced data centres. Concentrating on powerful and high performance hosting at sensible prices, and with the promise of 99.9% uptime and full technical backup, DailyRazor is setting out its stall quite grandly and bringing to the market a very viable offer indeed. With security a priority and one to one customer service something that is very much preferred the DailyRazor package looks like it could be one to consider if you are looking for a business set up at a sensible price.
Value For Money
It must be said that the basic package – at $2.95 a month – is a very viable and impressive deal, with unlimited space and bandwidth, unlimited emails and a variety of domains allowed; it is difficult to fault this deal in the face of more expensive offers that provide limited bandwidth and disk space of a variety of sizes. For just $8.95 the advanced package is as comprehensive as anyone could want – really, this is one of the best value for money selection of packages that we have yet to come across during our reviews.
Reliability
The 99.9% uptime guarantee is the standard industry offer, and is backed up by the usual historical analysis, and that it applies to all packages is commendable. With a sliding scale of refunds for downtime as the incentive there is something of the ordinary about it, but we have to say that customer feedback points to a very impressive downtime record for the DailyRazor package.
Customer Support
Like all such packages, 24 hour customer support comes in the form of telephone and email contact, and there is also a live help option that is very welcome. We looked at a number of customer feedback responses on the internet and found a largely favourable report for the DailyRazor customer and technical support system, and it would appear that the promise of knowledgeable and helpful staff is upheld. There are also useful tutorials and the usual comprehensive online knowledgebase for users to browse.
Control Panel
The cPanel control panel may be the most widely used in the industry – and here it is again – but there is a good reason for that; it is well developed, familiar to many and regularly undergoes updating, and offers powerful and useful tools that are of interest to most users. It also helps keep costs down, thus allowing very effective package prices such as these from DailyRazor.
Environment
It is interesting that there is nothing listed on the company’s website that points to specific or intended environmentally friendly steps, as this is one company that is clearly forward thinking in its policies. However, the listing of equipment used in the modern and high tech data centres points to low energy and highly efficient servers and more – a step in the right direction.
